Enlightenment Whale

Blown, Sculpted, cold worked Borosilicate Glass

This piece was made in collaboration with Chadd Lacy. Lacy blew and sculpted the glass whale with my color prep. I then carved into the layers of glass to create the whales skeleton, as well as the bearded sailor skeleton meditating in the belly of the whale. Some of the glass color is UV reactive and glows when under blacklight.
